How the night goes

Mingle. Accuse. Survive last call.

Every card is a secret. Every guest is a suspect.

i.

The deal

The Moderator deals every player a secret card. Two of you are the Hosts (with six or seven players, Krampus hunts alone). Everyone else wants to see the morning.

ii.

The night

Eyes shut. The Hosts collect one guest. The Healer saves one soul. The Seer learns whether one guest is a Host.

iii.

Last call

Eyes open. The collected guest turns their card face up and says nothing for the rest of the night. Accuse, deny, point. Catch the Hosts before they equal the guests left standing.

6 to 10 players and a Moderator, who runs the night and does not play. A phone and a speaker if you want the narrated night.

What happens when you are collected?

Your card goes face up, and you say nothing for the rest of the night. The same goes for the guest voted out at last call. The next game deals everyone back in.

We're only six or seven.

House rule for 6 or 7: leave Frau Perchta out and deal a Guest instead. Krampus hunts alone.

Is it scary?

Not at this party. Krampusnacht is naughty and witty, not gory. Think black tie and candlelight, not a haunted house.
